Grass is greener

I always find spontaneous pictures are the best ones. A couple of weekends ago my family took a day trip to the Yarra Valley on a simultaneously very sunny and very windy day. This made for an interesting drive held back by many fallen trees and a lot of my time spent gazing mesmerised at the long grass, blowing in the wind. The grass seemed to be greener there, and the sky bluer.
My brother and I took these pictures after our parents stopped at a local butcher; this field was opposite the little shop and I couldn't resist the opportunity to let my hair out and run around in it. My bum still hurts from balancing for so long on that pole, and to this day I don't really know how I got up there; it's harder than it looks.
The bokeh and spiral effect in these photos were created using the Lomography Petzval lens which also gives such a lovely glow. Camera junkies, you'll find this spunky-looking lens here.
Love, Ingrid
