If you want to stand out in a crowd, wearing fish on your jumper is certainly one way to do it.
It is one of those classic Melbourne 20 degree days after a week of muggy, sticky, sweaty feet weather and the breeze in the air is brilliant. So I celebrated by wearing this new Kenzo-esque jumper to keep me warm paired with a classic denim skirt to balance out the bold jumper.
When wearing bold patterns and bright colours (something I love to do), I tend to match them with other very simple pieces, taking out colours from the bold piece to forge links and pull the outfit together and make it look comfortable and ‘right’.
This look can be worn casual for a coffee, or worn without a care for a nice occasion. It is sophisticated and has a very crisp, chic vibe; I can just imagine walking down Chapel St in it and feeling oh-so-sassy, ready to take on the world. It’s all about the attitude; make people think what you want them to think!
A de-brief of the outfit: • Kenzo jumper with Zara white shirt underneath • Cassette Society denim skirt (scored at Camberwell market for $2) • fake Chanel bag • blue boots from Eos, can be found in Wittner (amazing leather!)
Finally, all of us in Melbourne can get a comfortable sleep minus the stickiness and get ready for some more Summer fun!
Love, Ingrid
