When I think of Italy, a whole unique world of vibrant culture and beauty pops to mind. Although I have only been to Italy once in the past, this experience and the fact that I am currently learning the language and therefore the culture, gives me an incredible insight into just how amazing Italy is. As a country, it has breathtaking landscapes and classic country lifestyle (think Tuscan beauty), vast wineries exploding with life and joy, contemporary cities with cutting edge fashion and all the bustle of day to day life, countless historical sites, sparkling blue seas, the colourful houses of the Cinque Terre. It is hard to describe Italy shortly and sharply; there is simply too much to speak about, and so much more to find out.
That is what I think the Cruciani bracelets are all about. These simple bracelets provide bursts of colour and brightness to any outfit, and are interchangeably edgy, cute, beachy and elegant. Most importantly, they capture Italy for those who have’t been, or have forgotten, or are missing it. I’m not sure exactly what it is about these macrame, Italian made pieces, but every single shape, colour and design fully encompasses the diversity, joy, bustle, beauty, drama, history, love, class and sheer excitement of the Italian persona, in the form of a bracelet.
They are the perfect trick to have up your sleeve (quite literally) or worn as an anklet. In one of my photos, I tried it as a choker and loved the bold look. The charisma and zeal of these bracelets are timeless.
Lots of love to the wonderful Janine at Miss Italy, who made this post possible. Miss Italy is a two year old, Australia based online store and stockist who brought this little piece of Italy to Melbourne. And boy, has it taken off. The website stocks the whole Cruciani range, as well as jewellery and accessories from other Italian labels ‘I Birikini’, 'PG Bracelets’ and Milan based 'Kettlebell Jewels’. Miss Italy exclusively connects the culture of Italy with that of Australia, and judging by the explosive popularity of these gorgeous bracelets around town, it has had massive success.
If you want a little bit of Italy to stay with you all day, just head over to the link below and have a browse; you’re bound to find something for you. Here’s to Miss Italy and Happy Valentine’s day!
Love, Ingrid
