Milking it at Milkcow

One lonesome Friday night I emerged from Emporium with a rumbling stomach and drooping eyelids. It was a make or break moment when by chance I glanced to my left and was blinded by pink neon lights. The milky -delicious smell of a good quality soft serve wafted my way and I ran into the Milkcow store like a child into a lolly shop.

Beautiful is the only word I can use to describe the even more intense explosion of scent and colour that hit me when I entered the store. I’m pretty sure I ran around for a solid 5 minutes with a dumb smile on my face before looking at the menu.

As a first time visitor to this South Korean pop-up, I stuck to the simplicity of a plain soft serve, but flavours I took note of for future tasting were the Green Light, Milky Honey and the Sticky Date Pudding special. The ice cream was perfectly thick and smooth, but quite rich; toppings would have balanced the taste out. I highly recommend popping to the pop up before they head off, not only for the ice cream, but for the vibe; pink, warm and happy!

Definitely made my night.

Love, Ingrid

Find the Milkcow popup in Melbourne at Driver Lane, near Emporium.
